our lives. not everyone has been so
fortunate. yesterday on oprah, viewers were
thrown into a world where life isn't so easy-
women and young girls aren't educated and,
even worse, aren't treated for any illnesses.
many women are dying from illnesses due to
malnutrition. most barbaric of all, young
women of all ages, including pre-pubescent
girls, are sold to brothels and forced into sex-
slavery. those who aren't submissive are
drugged, beaten, and even electrocuted.
such horrors are torturous. these problems
are murderous to women of all ages: grand-
mothers, mothers, daughters, sisters,
neices, wives, and the list goes on and on.
not only are individuals getting killed but so
are families. children are left abandoned,
orphaned, uncared-for. young boys are
strapped with guns and taught a terrifying
way of life and a disrespect for women at
such a vulnerable age.
if we want to put an end to this and bring
childhood and love back to a desperate
and dying country, we need to do it now.
